Bargara is widely considered to be the jewel of the Coral Coast with great fishing and water actitivites as well as many tours and attractions in the area.

Fishing
Devoted Fisherman is well catered for at Bargara, which is host to and artificial offshore reef guaranteeing superior fishing all year round. The Woongarra Marine Park protects the coastline and offers snorkelling and fishing right on the shoreline. A premier golf course is located just behind the beach and a bowling green offers outdoor entertainment for people of all ages.

Golf
A premier golf course is located just behind the beach and there is a well stocked Oncourse Pro Shop located directly opposite Shoreline's front entrance and expert tuition is available from the resident Pro for those who wish to take a few lessons. Discounted golf vouchers are available for our guests.

Cruises
Lady Musgrave is a tropical island paradise with the most unique coral on the Great Barrier Reef. Enquire at reception about enjoy a day tour to the island and enjoy snorkelling and a buffet lunch. Scuba divers can be catered for at introductory and certified level.

Enjoy a scenic flight to Lady Elliot Island and spend 5-6 hours on the reef - go on a glass bottom boat ride, snorkel or take a guided walk on the reef.

Whale Watching
Experience the trip of a life time aboard a whale watching vessel. Whales weigh up to 40 tonnes and some days you will see them jumping out of the water or "mugging" the boat. Mainly you will see humpback whales, but Minke, Pilot and Southern Right are sometimes sighted.

Cycling
Take a break yourself or take the whole family. Adult and children's bikes available for hire from reception and helmets can be provided.

Mon Repos Turtle Rookery
Offers guests an opportunity to observe the endangered sea turtles during the nesting and hatching season from November to March. Turtles often nest at Bargara on Kelly's, Rifle Range and Nielson Park Beach providing an extraordinary summertime experience for beach goers.
